Speaking to Tuko.co.ke Safaricom mentioned that the new charges were introduced last year in 2024, and these changes will affect users in all Transaction bands. For example, it will now cost you Ksh 11 to withdraw any amount between Ksh 50 and 100 shillings.
At the same time, the cost of withdrawing Ksh 101 to Ksh 500 has risen by Ksh 2 to Ksh 29 and Ksh 167, up from the Previous 161 to withdraw any amount from Ksh Ksh 10,001 to Ksh 15,000. The Maximum amount that one can withdraw in a single transaction is Ksh, which remains at Ksh 250,000, with a corresponding fee of Ksh 309.
