New Fuel Prices in Kenya: Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene Rates (March 2025)

It’s unsurprising, but renewable and non-renewable energy sources are vital as they help ensure a reliable energy supply. Fuel, which can be found in either category, is undeniably essential in Kenya today, powering various applications from industries to vehicles. Common types of fuel used in Kenya include petroleum, which is refined to produce gasoline (petrol), diesel, kerosene, etc. But even as nature gives us the ability to use it for free, we still have to pay to utilize it; thus, understanding the fuel prices in Kenya becomes essential.

The prices Of fuel in Kenya are set and reviewed by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) And are usually updated after a period every 30 days, with the latest changes already in effect from March 03 – April 14, 2025, as guided by Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No.192 of 2022
