Arkansas is the 25th State of the United States, admitted to the union on June 15, 1836, with over 3 million residents as of 2024. Like most States, Arkansas is also comprised of 75 counties and 500 municipalities, further subdivided into various Cities and Towns. As per the 2020 Arkansas Code, the Cities in Arkansas state are classified into three classes of cities mainly influenced by their Population. The first category is First-class cities, comprised of over 2,500 residents; the second is Second-class, with a population of between 500 and 2,499 inhabitants. Those with a population lower than 499 city residents are third-class cities, also known as Towns.
