Have you accidentally deleted an Instagram story and don’t know how to recover it? Meta’s social network provides a sort of virtual “trash” where all the stories and posts we decide to delete end up straight away. But be careful:the recovery time is limited, and after a certain number of days, all the content will be permanently deleted, just like what happens with email boxes.
Below is the exact process to follow to get your deleted Instagram stories back:
- Go to your profile’s main page
- Press the three lines at the top right
- Click on “Your Business.”
- Select“Recently Deleted”
- Find the story you want to restore, click and press the three dots: here, you can choose whether to delete it or restore it permanently
If your profile has the auto-archive option enabled, then deleted stories can be recovered within 30 days. Otherwise, you will only have 24 hours before they are permanently deleted from the system.
