A major milestone for the university was in 1972 when the then-Scott College received its accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA), and the same accreditation was also granted fully in 1986 for the Bachelor of Theology degree programme introduced in 1982

- You must have scored a minimum KCSE Grade of D+, C-, and C+ Above for Certificate, Diploma, and Bachelor courses, respectively.
- Applicant must have the required certifications from a recognized institution and hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Those applying for postgraduate studies must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Application Process
The application process is easy so long us you meet the course requirements. The process of joining the university involves physically applying at the institution. However, before that, you must get the applications forms, fill them and submit them at the university
Here are the processes involved:
- Visit the main University website at https://scott.ac.ke/
- Navigate to the Media section and then Downloads, located at the top Navigational menu
- Here, you choose the relevant application form. You can also Visit the office of the Academic Registrar at SCU to collect it
- Fill out the application form accurately and completely, providing all the required information
- Make sure to attach copies of your relevant certificates, such as your KCSE certificate or your degree certificate, as applicable
- You must pay a non-refundable fee, which varies depending on the course level. For example, the fee is Ksh. 1500 for graduate programs and Ksh. 1200 for Bachelor’s, Diploma, and Certificate programs.
- Return the completed application form, along with the supporting documents and application fee, to the Registrar’s office.
- Wait for the admission to go through your application details. If you are accepted to join the university, you will receive and collect an admission letter which confirms you have secured a place at the university

Scott Christian University Student Portal
As soon as you are admitted to SCU, there are very disposable resources that you will need to achieve academic success. One of them is the SCU Students portal. Through this Portal, you will register for your semester, View your fee structure, Acess lecturers, View university events and news and many other services.
To access the Portal, all you need is your admission Number (Provided on your admission letter) and a unique password to log in.
Gaining access to your account involves visiting the student’s password portal page. Here, you will see two fields: one for admission and another for password. Fill them in using your rightful credentials, then click on Sign in to log in to your account.
If you have lost the password to log in to your student portal account, click on “Forgot password” and follow the prompts to get a new password.
